Kapuche Lake Trek is a short and rewarding Himalayan adventure that combines traditional village life with beautiful mountain scenery. The journey begins around the Gurung village of Sikles before following quiet forest trails toward the remote Kapuche area. One of the main highlights is Kapuche Lake, a beautiful glacial lake surrounded by impressive mountain landscapes. Because of its relatively low altitude compared with many Himalayan lakes, Kapuche offers a unique trekking experience without requiring a very high mountain pass. The peaceful trails, local communities and spectacular surroundings make this trek a wonderful choice for travelers looking for a less-crowded experience near Pokhara.
Drive from Pokhara toward Sikles, a beautiful traditional Gurung village surrounded by green hills and mountain scenery. After reaching the village, enjoy a short walk around the area and experience the peaceful local atmosphere.
After breakfast, begin walking through peaceful forests and mountain trails. The route gradually moves away from the village and into a quieter landscape. Enjoy the sound of the forest, mountain views and the changing scenery as you approach Hugu Goth.
Today is the main highlight of the trek. Walk toward Kapuche Lake through scenic mountain terrain and enjoy the dramatic surroundings of the glacial lake. Spend some time taking in the peaceful landscape before returning to Hugu Goth for the night.
Retrace the trail through forests and quiet mountain landscapes as you make your way back to Sikles. Enjoy the easier downhill sections and the changing views along the valley. Spend your final evening in the Gurung village.
After breakfast, take a scenic drive from Sikles back to Pokhara. Enjoy the surrounding hills and countryside during the journey. The trek ends after arriving in Pokhara.
